WN3000RPv3 Loses Internet after Around One Week

4 years is a pretty good run. A couple things you could try/investigate.
1. Try changing wifi channels. 1-6-11 is recommended
2. Try moving the extender around a little in the room. maybe its borderline and strength/distance and there's possibilities to optimize placement in the room.
3. maybe it was the firmware update. the server shows the current version 1.0.2.74 but sometimes the auto update server has newer versions. I'd try a reset of the device if the firmware updated. If that doesn't work, you could downgrade a version and see if that helps. It wouldn't be the first time a firmware update caused some instability.
This device still loses it's connection after being unused for a period of time.
TBH, I've not tried downgrading the firmware because each time I make a change I have to see if it makes a difference. Selecting a different channel didn't help and I cannot move the device because there is only one power socket in the garage that I can plug it in to.
In the end, I'll probably just live with it and either wait for the next update or buy another device. After all, I only charge the car infrequently.
One option I've thought of is to move it back inside the house and connect it to the Router via Ethernet - I have a powerline adaptor that I rarely use. If the car and charger can still see the signal and it stops losing the connection, then I'll be happy.
Or you can use that powerline device and install the wn3000rpv3 as an access point.
