This device still loses it's connection after being unused for a period of time.
TBH, I've not tried downgrading the firmware because each time I make a change I have to see if it makes a difference. Selecting a different channel didn't help and I cannot move the device because there is only one power socket in the garage that I can plug it in to.
In the end, I'll probably just live with it and either wait for the next update or buy another device. After all, I only charge the car infrequently.
One option I've thought of is to move it back inside the house and connect it to the Router via Ethernet - I have a powerline adaptor that I rarely use. If the car and charger can still see the signal and it stops losing the connection, then I'll be happy.

Or you can use that powerline device and install the wn3000rpv3 as an access point.
