WN604 (N150) Wireless Access Point

Hi Have just ordered one of these WN604 AP to extend my wireless but I dont understand the manual that I have downloaded to get up to speed. 2 questions please.
Q1 Why does the AP appear to have two addresses, 192.168.0.100 and 192.168.0.230 with the latter apparently being used to access the AP set up?
Q2 Also why when setting up AP does it request you set up a pc with a static IP address of 192.168.0.210 and then connect the WN604 directly to the PC. Since my network already has addresses 192.168.0.xxx, surely I should be able to connect to the WN604 directly to my main router (192.168.0.1) and then be able to directly access the WN604 without first changing my PC set up even though the AP has a fixed address (DHCP disabled by default)?
Thanks for any help. David

  • There is always one IP to device

Manual ask you to do so bevauae not ALL network is NOT 192.168.0.x therefore in order to make the process easy and for initial setup you follow like its in manual

If you have same subnet then you don't have to
