WN604 Wireless-N 150 Access Point
My question relates to Wireless Distribution Services protocol.
We have FIOS internet and it uses a MoCA router from Actiontec. I wanted to create a small soho LAN in the den at the back of the house but there is no Ethernet cable between the FIOS router and the den. The LAN would have a network storage device, a network printer, and a PC. I already own these. I'd like to connect them together using Ethernet cable.
So I'm looking for a hybrid WiFi device with several RJ45 Ethernet jacks, which would act as some sort of bridge between the LAN and the Actiontec router, both of them communicating via WiFi. I asked Actiontec if that was possible and they said No, it's not possible, because the Actiontec FIOS router does not support "Wireless Distribution Services". Does the WN604 require that protocol?
