i have spent about 4 hours changing this and that, rebooting computer and access point. im now here because i have exhausted everything i can do, so its not like i didnt try like heck! =} my route...

ok, but i dont need the access point to be a wireless repeater, just grab the wireless signal from upstairs and let me desktop computers downstairs connect via LAN through the access point.
