WN802T: Cannot Access Console through web
Hello All,
I recently purchased a netgear WN802T access point.
I followed the NETGEAR RangeMax™ NEXT Wireless-N Access Point WN802T instructions. I went into the control panel and accessed the Network and Sharing Center.
- I changed the TCP/IP configuration to 192.168.0.210 and 255.255.255.0 subnet mask on my network.
- A popup then showed saying the default gateway is not on the same network segment that is defined by the IP address. I clicked Yes to continue.
- I then connected the WN802T wireless access point
- I then accessed the web browser with google chrome and enter in the web address: 192.168.0.233, but it said could not load page.
I made sure that the access point was working. All lights were on and ac adapter was connected.
Im using the following:
1. Windows 8 Home Premium on desktop
2. Optimum Cable
Any help would be great.
Thanks!

- jmizoguchiVirtuosoYou can not use access point devices without a router
Also with cable modem directly - PrivateServers4Aspirantso the n600 wireless dual band gigabit router wont work with the cisco cable modem?
- jmizoguchiVirtuoso?? N600 router behind the cable modem work but not Wn802t
- davcho4NoviceOk I managed to get into the web console. I tried setting everything up as instructed.
1. I changed the IP address (on the web console) to an IP address outside of my network.
2. I then changed the default gateway to the address of my router.
I also setup SSID broadcast and security settigns to WPA-PSK.
However, I still am not able to see the access point in my network. I changed the SSID different from the router (so it doesn't get mixed up), but I can't seem to find it on my network.
What could be the problem? - jmizoguchiVirtuosoPossible bad unit if you can't even SSID
