As the member with alias Netgear1-9A-Z (Senior Member with almost 3000 postings) has access to case numbers, I'm pretty sure he belongs to the Netgear inner-circle.
You're right, he is not officially a moderator, but defacto he is.
I did note him appearing to be one of some connection but his last post was on October 26. This is now some 2+ months later with a couple of more reports and many cries for some official response.

Netgear Support really is very helpful. Netgear has outsourced their customer support to this company: http://www.idtglobal.com/
Mine is not a decision to buy, it is one of whether or not I keep the one that I already bought but have not opened. Had I done the net search before I bought it instead of the day after, I would never have purchased the unit regardless of the retailer's claims of the WN802T having better range and more reliable transmission.
My biggest fear is that I use this one and shortly after the year warranty is up, whether the first one lasts that long or not, that the warranty date starts with the purchase of the first one but not any of it's replacements.
I know that nothing lasts forever, but this was a stretch for me to buy in the firstplace. I do not want to have to do it again in the near future.
