Further information ...
In the problem scenario, I used identical names for:
- WN802Tv2 "Access Point Name" (i.e. hostname),
- WN802Tv2 "Wireless Network Name (SSID), and
- Windows "workgroup" name for the wireless client laptops
It appears that the "Access Point Name" conflicts with the "workgroup" name causing a Windows error "Duplicate Name on the Network" when client PCs boot. I've now altered the "Access Point Name" and I'm waiting to see if this has fixed the original problem, i.e. "WN802Tv2 stops talking to laptop and needs reboot".
I now wonder if the SSID needs to be changed as well!
