wnce2001 set up with usb/Ethernet adaptor

has anyone set up a wnce2001 using an USB to Ethernet adaptor on a tablet?

I use the wnce2001 to make our monitoring device wireless at client's homes. I am in the market for a new computing device and want to get a android tablet. However without an Ethernet port I may have to stick with a laptop so I can set these up. I have found a USB to Ethernet adaptor but don't want to buy the tablet and everything if it won't work.
