i have the same issue, but on 5gz band
i have one wndap350 and one wndap360 bridged together, using both for wireless access points. the 350 has 2.1.2 firmware, and the 360 has 2.1.1 (the latest for that box)
whenever i do rogue ip detection, i get the drop outs (on 5gh, havent tested on 2.4ghz) BUT this is with the latest wirless laptop card; lenovo t420s with intel centrino ultimate n6300 agn, with the latest drivers.
turn off rogue ip detection, it works with no dropouts. with it on, it dies periodically (between every 30 seconds to 3 minutes).
so it isnt just old $10 wireless cards having issues
