Well, I've just purchased a pair of these fella's to improve media transfer between my ReadyNAS and the EVA8000. The first day was great - no juddering with anything I streamed to the EVA. Then, the next night, I noticed no light on the unit acting as the EVA-connected Bridge. There was a link light on the back, but nothing on the front. Pushing WPS did nothing. As the on/off made no difference, I pulled the power plug out. It powered on and re-connected fine. All good. Started watching a movie.
Then the next night I was streaming music and it stopped - the EVA reported a lost network connection, Sure enough, the unit had gone off again. Link light on. Power plug out and in - all good again.
I looked in the manual and it mentions nothing about an automatic daily shut-down. Presumably an energy saving initiative... :(
And, for the record, I don't believe it's hardware after reading many similar problems. I'd rather believe it's a firmware problem over a massive quality control issue in Netgear's production line.
