WNHDE111 Internet access issues...

Just to add some more info. I performed a reset on the WNHDE111 to factory default and tried to connect the bridge to the WNDR3700 using the PIN method but it did not seem to work and simply timed out. I then tried the WPS and this didn't work either. The WNHDE111 is literally 3 feet from the WNDR3700 so I really don't understand why this doesn't work. I then manually configured the Bridge using the CD software and was able to reconnect again but I am still unable to ping the router. So I am back to where I was...
Interestingly, I looked at the router status information on the WNDR3700 and seemed to flip between showing a MAC Address entry of the Bridge with both the attached PC IP (1.158) address and then the actual IP for the Bridge. is this normal and if not, could this be a clue to the problems here?
