WNR 1000 Amber Power Light?

I recently received a WNR 1000 router from Comcast that is hooked up through a modem. When I restart the router, it seems to work fine wirelessly but after about 10 minutes I lose the wireless connection and the power light on the router becomes a solid amber color and I can no longer access the router. The internet light is solid green when the router stops working. Does anyone know what could be the problem?
