WNR1000 wireless router and multiple subnets

[If I have posted this in the wrong forum please just point me in the right direction]

Hi there. I have a WNR1000 wireless router (firmward version 1.0.1.15). It is setup to route subnet 10.10.0.x. I have recently added a VPN bridge that terminates inside this network and so the LAN-side of the router is now being faced with packets arriving from 10.8.0.2 that I would like it to route. I can see in Wireshark that the packets are being forwarded to the router but they never arrive at their destination. Specifically, I have verified that I can ping the router itself from a machine on 10.10.0.x but I cannot ping it via the VPN bridge connection that arrives inside that same machine (and I can see the packets actually go to the router). Is this a 'feature' of the router and, if so, is there a way around it? I have tried switching SPI firewall and NAT filtering, to no avail.

  • We purchased 7 units of NETGEAR N150 Wireless Router WNR1000 v2h2, the units has been deployed to our customers for a couple of months without any issue, I notice that there was a firmware update and did update the 5 units while the 2 are not. after the update, the next day all 5 units experience disconnection to internet, I keep on resiting IPs and it works for a couple of hours but then disconnection happened again. any solution for this please? any downgrade to old version? is the new firmware update has BUG??

    Than you

WNR1000 is NOT WN1000RP (extender). It is wireless N router
