WNR2000 and Mac Pro

Most every thing I have read about router setup and wireless network setup for this router talks about Windows or PC. We are having difficulty creating a wireless network with the Mac Pro. Does anyone have any simple user friendly suggestions to overcome this issue? My son is a musician not a computer person.

    Mac should connect with full N mode using WPA2 encryption in the router settings.
