WNR3500L & WNR2000v3 in repeater setup
Hey everyone, I'm trying to set up a WNR3500L as the base station with the WNR2000v3 as the repeater. Base station settings went fine and had no issues configuring the 3500. It's up and running as the base station with no issues right now.
The problem is when I try to configure the WNR2000 as the repeater. I change all the wireless settings to match the base, then go to wireless repeating. I enable repeating, set it to the repeater, put it what i think is an available IP address, enter the MAC for the base, hit apply. The page loads, and eventually bombs out saying connection interrupted. I reboot the PC, reboot the router, and can't login to the router page anymore using the new IP address or www.routerlogin.net.
I've done numerous factory resets on the WNR2000 and the end result is the same. Any ideas? I'm somewhat of a novice when it comes to wireless network setups, so I wouldn't be surprised if I'm missing something simple.
