X6S nighthawk won’t work

We have tried connecting to our bthub5. All seems to work but we don’t get the WiFi lights and therefore no internet through the extender. We are wanting to use as a access point. Spent hour on phone to technical department who couldn’t help. Any ideas before I send it back ?
