Currently, my 5 ghz is password proteted but my 2.4 ghz is not. When I go and select this security option WPA2-PSK [AES] and add a password on it, it does not show that a password is needed. I would ...

Thank you for the update. Did you try to reset the Cable gateway? If not yet please do so and set it up again and see if that resolves the issue.

Yes I am still having this problem. I have tried resetting multiple times. The model is a C6300v2. Attached are photos the illustrate the issue.
