AC1000 WiFi Router Model R6080

I just bought my first smart TV, Samsung. I'm not able to hook up to WiFi, I keep getting error message that my password is incorrect. My laptop is working fine, I have updated my routers password a few times, unpluged my router after each password update. I'm still getting the same error message, my router is 2 years old, I have a Netgear 90. Do I need a new Router?
