AC1200 cable modem high ping and rubber banding
Hey everyone,
so i upgraded the family wifi from an older model to the newer ac1200 modem router per reccomendation from our internet provider. The old modem had nothing wrong with it other than it was 9 years old and very outdated but as soon as i installed the new one ive had multiple problems with it. Starting with the wifi just cutting out on us out of nowhere. I think i solved that problem but now my games are running at a low ping rate in the lobby and as soon as i get in the game, im getting disconnected becasue the ping is so high. This happens with both Apex Legends and Call of Duty.
I have half a mind to get the old router modem and reinstall it but before i do i would like to know if there is anything i can do in the situation right now. Thanks for all of the help.

Netgear has set up a community forum specifically for the DSL Modem products. Most of the people who watch that forum are more likely to have experience with DSL modems and know how to work it better than those of us who follow this forum.
