AC1750 R6400 Gig Speed Problem
Recently upgraded my fiber internet speed to 1Gig from 500mbps and noticed both wired and wireless connections can't produce more than 350mbps test results. ISP technician verified proper speeds were coming in via a direct ethernet connection to the modem. I did a factory reset and updated the firmware with no QoS settings enabled. I'm now wondering if there are any additional settings I should be aware of to improve speeds or if this router model has known issues with gig speeds.

This router model is almost 10 years old, thought it's not 1Gb WAN and LAN ports, it may not have the ability or capability to do near 900Mpbs on ethernet. You'll never see anywhere near 900Mbps over wireless on this router. Maybe around 300-400Mpbs max depending on your wireless devices and this model only supports AC mode so it usually maxed out at around 300Mbps on 5Ghz. Main thing that this router may not have is HW cut-thru which helps in speed between the WAN and LAN side. This router may not have that. This was a buget low entry level router. 1Gb was still on up and coming and not common place back then. If you want good 1Gb services and see that on both wired and wireles, you might want to invest in a newer generation router.
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?
Be sure your using a good quality LAN cable between the modem and router. CAT6 is recommended.
