You're kind of caught.
You can reboot it from the browser method but its in the advanced menu and you have to be able to access it.
Which you can't.
You could try other browsers or clearing cache/data on the current one you're accessing it with.
What error does it give you?
Are you accessing it using its ip address or the routerlogin . net

Thx for taking the time to respond. I'm accessing with IP addy and firefox eventually times out and says the site is unreachable. it's as though the built-in web server crashed.

yes, same result with IE and chrome
everything behind that router has dropped now except the one server i can get to (and that's the one thing on a fixed IP) so i guess router DHCP is down as well as the web server
sending someone to the site to reboot (and possibly change routers) but would still love to know if there's a way to fix this remotely when it happens.

If you can remote into a computer, you can reboot it through its menu. But when it goes down to where you can't access the router, then not. Then your only option might be a way to trigger a smart switch plugged into the router that cycles off and back on. It'd probably need that same static configuration.
