AC1750 R6400v2 cannot use same SSID for 2.4&5ghz

Question

There's already old threads about it but figured I'd add my results to the forum:

Firmware Version V1.0.4.84_10.0.58

R6400v2

Web GUI won't allow setting of same SSID.
Genie app on windows will allow apply but not actually change SSID to match other radio
Genie app on android no longer supported, won't allow management.
Nighthawk app on android won't allow setting of same SSID.

I'll be switching to DD-WRT due to this and the very long delays when changing any settings in any of the UI's.

I just ran into this today and am totally irritated. I'll be shopping for different devices in the future

I had this same problem.&nbsp; I tried setting the same SSID through the web interface as well as via the Android app without success.&nbsp; I upgraded the firmware to version&nbsp;1.0.4.102_10.0.75 and it worked!&nbsp;https://www.netgear.com/support/product/R6400v2.aspx#download
