Try factory resetting the extender 1 more time.
Push and hold reset for 7-15 seconds while powered on.
Then to set it up, hardwire into it from a pc/laptop. Disable the pc/laptops wifi during setup so it doesn't default back to that connection.
Then set it up using the installation assistant and not wps.
What router is it connecting to?

Oct 20, 2020Thx I will absolutly try that, however I can't work out what cable I would need to connect the extender to my laptop? Can you advise?
The extender was connecting to my Hub 3 Virgin router, as I can't set it up it's currently not connected to anything.

The extender does have an ethernet port but my laptop doesnt? Can you advise what kind of cable or adapter I would need to connect it to my laptop (post link or picture if poss, my laptop is brand new)

You don't have to connect to it wired for setup. It just tends to make things easier/faster. It should be able to be done wireless.
but you can get a usb---ethernet adapter. You can find a bunch of them.

Just make sure your new laptop has a usb 3.0 port (2.0 would work as well). Or if it has a usb-C adapter, then you'd want that type of usb adapter.
