AC750 range extension
Will this work with old Apple time capsule router to extend Wi-Fi range to the patio?

What device are we talking about here. AC750 is not a reliable guide to model number. Many devices come with an AC tag, but it is essentially a label that Netgear, and other brands, attach to hardware to describe wifi speeds.
Look at the label on the device for the model number.
There is usually no reason why an extender won't work with any router. Some are easier than others to set up.
