Can I use wifi router as a switch?
Can i disable the wifi and the DHCP table to use the router as a switch?

_What_, exactly?
> I am worried that the status says DHCP ON
I'd guess that that's accurate only if the router is acting as a
router, not when it's configured as a WAP.> The Genie offered to use the Netgear as an AP
After a settings reset, if it sees a private address on its
WAN/Internet interface, then it might draw the correct conclusion
automatically.> I kept SSID broadcast on recommendation. [...]
That doesn't matter much if the radio is disabled. The point was
that "Enable SSID Broadcast" and "Enable Wireless Router Radio" do
different things.

DHCP servers can cause many problems. Which is why the one-step WAP
mode option disables the DHCP server. (And, why you would need to
disable it explictitly, if you don't use the one-step WAP mode option.)So, it works as expected now? (What could go wrong?)
Possibly interesting:
No, it has been going on for a long while and also after I upgraded the firmware still same issue. However, i reverted back to the previous version of the firmware due to the DNS resolver issuue with the latest release. attached screenshoti want to remove the BLOCKED MAC ADDRESSIT SHOULD BE DOWN AT THE BLOCKED DEVICES

Hi JGL991,
We are sorry for not being able to get back to you immediately. Thank you for sending the screenshots. Did you try changing your wireless password or reset the router? If not, please do so.
Please do not hesitate to let me know if you need further assistance.

I'm thinking about putting a router in front of my RBK50 and running the Orbi system in Access Point mode. Do you lose access to the Guest Network feature in AP mode?
Thanks much.

Hi Whittle,
Yes you can. That is exactly how I have mine setup right now. My FIOS router is handling all the DHCP, DNS, firewall stuff and my ORBI is running in AP mode only. You can enable the GUEST wifi on the ORBI without any issues. You do have to use the web interface (orbilogin.com) to turn on the guest network. You can also use the android app (netgear genie) to turn the guest network on/off. The option to do so on the IOS app is not available when you turn on AP mode, for whatever reason.
