Access on legacy DG834G V5

Question

Hello,I need to reconfigure my legacy Netgear ADSL router but I cannot access it. I have connected ethernet cable from my PC to the Netgear legacy Router and by addressing 192.168.1.1&nbsp; (or www.routerlogin.com) in my browser I have access to the active wifi router of my home WLAN (that is different from my legacy Netgear device).I have to reconfigure the legacy Netgear to be moved in another home with ADSL). How can I access Netgear DG834G V5?&nbsp;

Hello,thanks for quick reply.Some more info to clarify the access issue on this legacy Router (but no error messages as the device DG8345G is not accessed (no user/pw window pops up):1) my PC is connected to an existing and active home (fiber) router that provides internet connectivity and I would like to reconfigure the legacy DG8345G ADSL router (I used in the past when ADSL connected) before going to another home where ADSL connectivity has been activated.2) in order to reconfigure (with new ADSL parameters) the legacy DG8345G router I have switched it on, connected to my PC with an ethernet cable and I have tried to enter the wizard to get access as indicated in the installation manual. So via browser either with address 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1.With the first address I have got the following error message:&nbsp;This site can’t be reached192.168.0.1&nbsp;took too long to respond.Try:Checking the connectionChecking the proxy and the firewallRunning Windows Network DiagnosticsERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT&nbsp;With the second address I can enter the active fiber router with its user/pw request (but not the DG8345G).So the question is how to show wizard for user/pw of DG8345G in my PC that is served from another home router for internet access.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;

You should reset it by pressing the reset button with a paper clip for 30 seconds while powered on. The reset button is on the back. 2ndly type http://routerlogin.net (or 192.168.1.1)&nbsp; and connect your pc to it on one of the four LAN ports on the back. the user will be admin and password will be password. Then you should be able to see the GUI for that adsl gateway.

Thanks a lot for reply and comments.Just to clairfy the environment: my PC is connected to home (fiber) router and so to internet. Legacy DG834G is switched on but not connected to any ADSL line (I have only fiber connection at home).I was trying to pre-configure DG834G to be ready with all right parameters of ADSL connection to be used in another house.&nbsp;&nbsp;So from your feedback I understand that my PC has not to be connected to my home router if I want to access the GUI of legacy DG834G as this should be the only way to access it with address 192.168.0.1.&nbsp;&nbsp;
