Access point N150 WN604

The WN604 is an ancient (2010) device. It is many generations behind the latest on the wifi front and it has local wired speeds that operate at 100 Mbps on local wired devices, a tenth the speed of more recent access points and slower than many internet services. On security, it hasn't received an update since 2018.
A Windows 11 laptop will have much more modern wifi, at least 5 GHz and maybe even 6GHz and probably faster ethernet.
Your local security probably depends more on the rest of your network, the modem and/or router that connects the WN604 to the Internet. If it is of the same vintage, you might like to check that. It could be time to think of something new.
If you update the stuff in front of the access point, you may not even need it.
