amber upstream light on solid
anyone find a fix for this? seems to happen alot comcast guy coming this weekend unit has current update from comcast. Firmware V3.01.12 seem to have same problem as most others only 1 channel loc...

You can check the cable for splitters, amplifiers, or attentuators and remove them if you have them.
check the coax cable for kinks, damage, cheap/bad connectors, loose connectors.
Preferably, move the modem to right where the coax enters the home to prevent extend runs or issues internal to the wiring of the home.
If that doesn't help then the comcast person does need to check the lines.

I have no amplifiers, or attentuators, only have 1 splitter
With 2 outs, 1 side to the TV and 1 side to cable modem.
replaced spltter last night, no change.
Still have light and it just drops off line when it wants but shows to be connected.

1 was at the outside cable junction box.
Seems to have corrected things for know.

sounds like it must have been an issue with one of the splitters/connections.
