So, the method I was using to try to add an (indoor) camera to my SimpliSafe home security system was the app on my iPhone. By the way, the SimpliSafe home security system is up and running great. No issues with that.
When I navigate on the SimpliSafe app and attempt to add the camera, it comes up with an error message that says a 2.4 MGhz network is required.
A friend mentioned to me, after she saw the picture of my Netgear device, that I have a dual modem so it should work for both 2.4 Ghz and 5.1 Ghz.
Hope this is more succinct about the problem statement.
