AV process (Marantz AV7703) not able to connect to Netgear r6300 as an AP by wired connection

Hi everyone,

Greetings!

I am facing an issue and need your help.  Thank you.

My internet set up: Comcast modem (Motorola SB6141) is connected to Linksys EA9500 as a router.  My Netgear r6300 as an access points (AP) is connected to Linksys EA9500 by cat 5 cable.

Yesterday, I tried to connect my AV process, Marantz AV7703, to the AP by wired connection but I failed (Note: the AP work well with other gears by wireless and wired connection) . However, the AV7703 can be connected to the AP by wireless connection or can be connected to EA9500 directly by cat5 cable (need a long run able, which might not be an appropriate way for permanent setting).  I called the Marantz support team.  I was told that issue might be from my AP setting (Netgear 6300).  Any your help and input will be highly appreciated.

Thank you.

Best regards.

Zhaohui

  • Hi Zhaohui,

    1. What is the firmware version of the router?

    2. Is the Linksys router connected to the WAN port of the R6300 or to one of the LAN ports?

    3. Have you tried using the other LAN ports of the R6300?

    4. Please try doing a loopback test to check if the LAN ports of the R6300 are working. The link below may help out.

    5. Does the issue persist if you have the R6300 setup in router mode?

    Regards,
