Thanx for your input. It is mounted to a concrete pilar of ca. 150cm height which is at the end of a ca. 40m drive way. Between the router and the doorbell is a window and a hedge that goes all the way down the drive way (height ca. 200cm) So no major barriers.
The router signal is all strong ca. 10m down the drive way, then it fades out. The idea is to put the repeater to the hedge while the signal is at its max and then I would need to know whether the repeater will manage to cover the additional 30m to the concrete pilar with the doorbell.

Concrete does a great job of blocking wifi. Its one of the best materials for blocking wifi. Unless the camera has a clear line of site between it and the extender, the concrete will block its signal.
If you've got a couple extenders you've tried, try putting one by the hedge and see if it works. (temporarily)
If it does, the an outdoor rated one would work. (RBS50Y is outdoor rated and has an extender mode)
