brand new WNR1000 Can't see Internet

I'm installing a brand new router on a new Internet access. I followed the process several times and reset to factory specs. The Internet connection is not being seen, but I can connect the Internet circuit directly to my laptop and it is fine. The Internet access was installed and tested yesterday.
