All phone only customers will (at no charge to them) switchover to BT digital voice and a BT supplied router. In defence of BT Openreach they will also offer an additional DECT adapter to plug in where landline needed; BT community guru's refer to this as remote DECT and insist not Wifi (DECT to VOIP). All major telco players e.g. Sky, Vodafone service(s) etc rely on BT Openreach for the networke hence they will replace their customers with DECT capable routers. Oh so true. BT is famously poor at communications.
The problem here is that we have two separate issues, the roll out of Digital Voice and broadband connections. How do the two come together?
Messages about Digital Voice often refer to the need to plug the phone adapter into the right sort of BT Hub. That brings many of us out int a cold sweat.
There is nothing I can find on BT's official pages that throws any light on that.
This is about as good as it gets:

No, switching to Digital Voice won't have a noticeable impact on your broadband service.
