C6300
I'm not a techy person so please excuse my ignorance. I have to switch to NBN with HFC. Do I need to upgrade or will my Netgear work with NBN too?

NBN is basically australian internet.
You'd need to contact your specific provider to see what they're using (fiber to the home, fixed wireless, satellites, dsl, etc) to find out if the c6300 would be compatible.
