Can DLNA see Readyshare folders?
Connected a HDD to my Netgear router. Readyshare is accessible. I created a folder through ftp connection as I'd like to add stuff remotely. My Samsung TV sees the DLNA server but no matter how many times I recan for media or restart the router I can never see the files or folders I created.
My assumption is DLNA does not see things placed one the drive unless they are placed through the dlna library which only allows local connections, am I correct on that?
I was hoping to be able to ftp media files directly into a folder that was accessible on Samsung TV directly.

What model router do you have?
Check with the TV mfr on DLNA support and how to connect and see files.
Test with a different device, i.e. PC or laptop.
