Can I connect my RBR50 to the same network with the same network name?

do you mean can you set your orbi network with the same ssid as your sagemcom? 

Are you planning on shutting off the wifi on the sagemcom? if not, then I wouldn't. 

If you are planning on shutting down its wifi, then it'd be fine as devices would auto-reconnect.
