Can I set up multiple channels with this modem? 5.0 and 2.4

I'm trying to install a Honeywell smart thermostat but found out it's not compatible with 5.0 Modem speeds, needs to be 2.5 (2.4?).   Is there a way to set up this modem to have 2 channels ?    I hav...

    The cm1000 is a modem only. It has no router or wireless capability. 

    What actual router do you have?

Thanks for directing me to the router.  I was able to contact EERO and learned how to temporarily suspend 5.0 to set up the 2.4 devise.  Stay safe
