Can not Connect to R6080 Router by the Nighthawk App, on my Android Phone

I cannot connect to my R6080 Router, via the Nighthawk App, on my Android Phone.   The Nighthawk App says it can't find an internet connection. (I get wifi  internet fine on my computer, from the R6080).  I have wifi turned on, on the phone.   The Router was set up via my phone and has the nighthawk app on it.

Not sure if related, but I was trying to do a Firmware update.  I noticed in the "Devices" section of Nighthawk App, that there was an "Unknown" device accessing the router.  So I turned it off.  (It is a slider button)  - Did I turn off my phone connection to the router?  (I tried turning the Unknown Device back on with the slider, but it won't turn back on - Could the reason be, that I am not connected to wifi, and cannot reach the Router, therefore cannot move the slider?)

How do I restore a wifi connection to the R6080 Router, from my Nighthawk App?

As you can tell, I am pretty clueless to this stuff.
any help would be appreciated
Thank You

    Thank You!
A Tech Friend came over and got me through getting connected to Netgear on the Internet and getting everything straightened out!  And YES, I did disconnect my phone from the Router.  The source of the whole Fiasco............ LOL!
After 45 minutes of internet time, everything is now Fine.
(Also found out that Android Phones have some sort of Reset or "Go Back" feature.  This enabled us to just reverse my blunder, right on the Phone! - Good to know!)
We did the internet stuff, just so I could see HOW to do it!

Thank You Again for your reply.  - Have a great Holiday and New Year!

Possibly. "Unknown devices" have turned out to be phones.

Again, another good guess on your part.

Connect to the router with a wired connection from a PC and the browser graphical user interface (GUI).

As a last resort, reset the router and set it up from scratch.

By the way, I hope you have a slow Internet connection, something slower than 100 Mbps.

According to Netgear's manual for this device, not always the most reliable source of information, the LAN and WAN ports support only 10BASE-T or 100BASE-TX. That makes it slower than many newer internet services and most modern network hardware. This may not matter to you, but be warned that it will hobble you if you ever sign up for faster Internet, anything faster than 100 Mbps is a waste of your money.

It also slows down whatever is going on in your local network. Newer devices support at least 1000BASE-TX.
