Cannot connect wndr3400v3 to nighthawk AX1800
Does the NETGear nighthawk EAX20 work wit the WNDR3400v3 router

Yes it does.
Its a bit overkill since the Wndr3400 is a N600 device. 2 wifi versions older than the EAX20. (wireless N----->wireless AC--->wireless AX)
You might have better results updating the router before adding an extender.
Or upgrading to a full mesh system like orbi or the MK nighthawk.
