Cannot regester Netgear N300 DGN2200

I bought the router at a thrift sale. I can't activate the router because it's still regestered to its previous owner and NetGear won't let me re-regester without the origional owners info. How do I ...

       Still true.

       Visit http://netgear.com/support , put in your model number, and look
    for Documentation.  Get the User Manual.  Read.  Look for "Factory
    Settings".

       Reset the router.  That should restore the router to the settings on
    the product label.  Then, if you still can't get connected to the thing,
    then report what you're actually doing and seeing, not what you think it

    all means ("can't activate", "the router won't put out any wi-fi").

       What, exactly, is telling you that "the router won't put out any
    wi-fi"?

       Bear in mind that there may be a good reason that the device was in a
    thrift sale.
