Cannot stream Xbox One to PC, existing guides haven't helped
I recently changed ISPs from AT&T to Comcast; doing so meant moving from the router/modem AT&T provided to me and purchasing the R6400. With the AT&T router, I never had an issue streaming from eithe...

I returned my router to BestBuy and exchanged it for another R6400, but still had the problem. I returned that one and picked up a separate brand, and still had the same problem. Out of ideas, I decided to try my wife's PC, which is wireless and uses the 2.4GHz connection, and to my bafflement, the streaming worked. After seeing it working, I made another attempt to stream to both my laptop and PC, and both failed. Our PCs were built six months apart and the only notable difference I can think of is the band the two use to connect to the route. Before changing ISP and routers, the laptop was able to stream, which makes this, again, baffling. I'm going to have to dig into the PC settings to see what the difference is that's causing me these frustrations, and that's something I hope Microsoft can help with. I'll also try using the 2.4GHz band like my wife's PC whenever my adapter decides it can finally see it. I returned the other brand's router and picked up yet another R6400, as it gives me a consistently strong signal throughout my two story house, while the other had intermittent drops.
In short, the router was not the problem. Thanks for the help.

Hi Mathachew,
You can try the following steps.
1. Please make sure that the PC can ping both/either of the XBOX One.
2. Please test if the issue persists if the devices are all wired to the router.
3. Make sure that the devices are connected to the 5GHz band if possible.
4. Make sure that the firmware is up to date on the router.

Hi DexterJB
The PC I am connecting from is wireless and can't be wired. One console is wired, the other wireless. I can ping both, but cannot stream to either one. I can turn them on, I can even use the Xbox app to send commands to both consoles, but again, no streaming. Both devices are on the 5GHz band and the latest firmware is installed.
I want to stress that with AT&T's router that I used previously, I didn't have to change a single network setting and had a standard router configuration, no tweaks at all. Is there something I'm missing that would require specific changes to stream either console?
I found my receipt and I have three more days until I can't return this. I've liked the R6400, especially the stronge 5GHz range, but this is really frustrating. I'd prefer not to return it.
