Read the post and look at the images.
I did.
You did not say "does not connect to the device". You said "does not respond". Two very different things.
Before anyone can diagnose that they need to know which version of iOS and which version of the Nighthawk App.
Then they need to kn ow if your iOS device can connect to the wifi from the router. (You have to do that before you can connect to the router, a step that people sometimes miss.)
That your R6700V2 has an IP address of 10.0.0.1 raises questions about the rest of your network.
What modem site between the router and the Internet?
The default IP address for the R6700V2 is 192.168.1.1. Unless you deliberately set it at that for some reason, anything else can be a sign of potential conflicts.
It is just not working as instructed
See above. It only works "as instructed" if everything else is as expected and you are following the correct procedure. You haven't provided enough information for anyone to be able to troubleshoot what is happening.

As you were told earlier, there is no such thing as an AC1750 or AC6700 V2.
Look at the label on the thing.although that may not be correct.
I have explained what is happening.
Feel free to ignore it.
You router is telling that you are trying to install the wrong firmware.

As I told you earlier, I have been working in IT and Support for 25 years, I can read pretty well.

As I said, I wouldn't be confident that the label is correct.
That says your hardware is Model: R6700v2. But if your latest screen shot is to be believed, the router is running the firmware for the R6700v3.
Netgear's firmware is not transferable between hardware (V) versions. That's why they reject incompatible firmware, which seems to be what you are seeing. Trying to force the wrong firmware on to a router is a good way of wrecking it.
That your attempts to update get a "wrong version" message suggests that you have a V3 device.
So, either the model number label is wrong, or someone managed to achieve the impossible and get V3 firmware on your V2 hardware.
V2 routers need .chk files while V3 routers need an .img file.
You now have a possible answer to your original question about the rejected .img file.
It is up to you to make what you will of this information.
These routers are now pretty old, from between 2014 and 2018.
