the way to find it is:
go to advanced page
then to Advanced setup to find the traffic meter.
the manual is not complete.
you have to open everything until you find what your looking for.
the meter is not very helpful, but its there.for several years my first router choice and recommendation has been netgear -
it seems the best solution is to buy a router from a company that has continued support with firmware updates.

Welcome to the community, phree0
As of this writing, the latest firmware for your WNR1000v3 is version 1.0.2.68.
Traffic meter is located on page 89 of the manual.

thank you
I will need to get the manual as I have this version installed 1.0.2.68_60.0.93NA
shucks I was hoping there was a newer version, Maybe even support? lol
guess it is time to buy a different router that has a better history for ongoing support. - phree0Aug 09, 2017Aspirant

Unfortunately, there will be no other firmware to be released unless it is a security vulnerability issue.
What do you mean by unable to access Traffic Meter in your initial post?
