Can't connect EX3700 extender to my ASUS RT-AC86U router
Hi all,
Hoping someone can help me out! I can't connect my EX3700 extender to my ASUS AC86U router. I get to the point where i input the login password for my asus router but then the extender can't connect. It suggests that my router might have an ACL and that I need to include the extender's MAC to allow access but I cannot find anything like an ACL on the ASUS router.
Has anyone encountered similar problems? I have done a factory reset on my extender, I have moved it very close to the Asus router and I have done the classic on/off out of desperation but no luck.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

A couple things to try.
1. check the login/password for special characters/spaces and remove them if you do
2. did you try using wps for setup?
3. make sure AiMesh was disabled on the asus? its their version of mesh and maybe its trying to setup that route.
4. did you try posting on the asus forum to see if what they know about the router for setting up extenders from other manufacturers?
