Can't connect to internet with the router, even when the LED is on.
as far as i'm aware, I've tried everything. Overnight my router stopped providing internet to my devices. Wired or not, no connection. Restarted the modem, restarted the router, pulled all the cables...

That is a cable modem-router. You can tell by the number of LAN ports on the back. >1 = router.
So you have two routers trying to allocate addresses and manage the traffic of devices that you connect to your network.
If you cannot put it into bridge mode, then you could try putting your WNDR3700v5 Netgear router into access point mode. This will disable its router features.

See page 127.
Be warned that in AP mode, the WNDR3700v5 will lose some features.

When messing around with a network it is important to do things in the right order.
Be sure to restart your network in this sequence:
- Turn off and unplug the modem.
- Turn off the modem router and computers.
- Plug in the modem and turn it on. Wait 2 minutes.
- Turn on the modem router and wait 2 minutes.
- Turn on the computers.

Thanks for your reply.
I've restarted the network in the order you told me in your comment, and after 3 full restarts, nothing has changed. It says it works, with the LEDs on indicating connected devices can access the internet, but they can't. However, after a restart, there is a short period of time in which it does work. It's a couple seconds, but that probably means it isn't completely dead. Are there other things I could try to save it? I've owned this router for 2 years, and most of my routers that I've owned died after 3 times that lifespan. Those weren't netgear routers. I'll await your response. Thanks in advance.

What modem are we talking about here? And how is it set up? Bridge (modem only) mode?
In your first message you say:
Other devices get access to internet via the cable from the modem. This suggests that your modem may also be working as a router. So you may have two routers in there, getting puzzled as to which is in charge.

I have recieved a modem from my internetsupplyer (if that's how it's called...), which recieves all the internet. The modem is via an ethernet cable connected to the Netgear router. The Netgear router is the second router in this instance, and has always behaved that way.
I do not know in which mode the modem is in. After looking on the site (to make changes), i didn't find a way to change this.
With my statement, i meant that all devices except the Netgear router can connect to the internet via the ethernet cable. The problems start when that ethernet cable from the modem gets plugged in the Netgear router, because the router won't send internet to connected devices with that Netgear router.
New Info: once the cable from the modem is connected with my Playstation (the "pc" i'm using), it shows up as an ethernet connected device (on the site of the modem, just like Netgear Genie) , but when I connect the cable from the modem to my Netgear router, it doesn't show up as an ethernet connected device. It did show up before the router stopped functioning correctly.

Is there a label on the side of this modem that says what the model number is? We can't provide informed advice without that information.
This sounds like you have just received a new moderm/routyer from your ISP. Is that the case?
If so, then your new network is not the same as the old one that worked.

We need to know that information if you want help with any problems.

You'll have to answer the earlier questions before anyone can begin to help you to sort out problems.
