Thanks ElaineM. I've already tried that with no luck. I guess I have to buy a new router. Unfortunately I think I won't go with another netgear since Im seeing too many threads about hard resets after power outage. In my area they are quite frequentely :(

You didn't say on which version you are right now. Also, a 30-30-30 procedure has no effect on ARM routers. Further, your topic says R7000 while you list WNDR4500 as model. Which one is it?

hi,
well I have no idea about the post title. I wrote "problem in flashing wdr4500". I really have no idea how it changed (I'll see if I can edit it). I have no idea about the current firmware version :(

kiwi1342 Try to see if you can ping by assigning a static IP address on your computer.
Since you have factory reset the router, try to assign 192.168.1.5 on your computer. Do this on a computer that's wired directly to the router.
Once done, see if you can still ping the router. If not, it's time to get a new router.

I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you.
Factory reset should not cause router to malfunction.
We recommend to plug the router in a surge protector to avoid frying it.
