Can't Install Latest Firmware on WNDR3700
Hi All,
try to install firmware WNDR3700v5_FW_V1.1.0.32_1.0.1 on my wmdn3700 router with firmware version V1.0.7.98. But after several tries with different browsers and laptops, i stil got the message "Firmware upgrade failed. Please check your file".
what can be the reason,

it was indeed version V1, so firmware version V5 is not working :-)

What's the exact model version of your NETGEAR router?
Is it version 5? If it's try to factory reset the router then do the firmware upgrade again.
Firmware should be loaded on the compatible hardware version.

i think i figured it out. i thought the different versions was just a software version, but i think these are different routers. So i tried to install a V5 firnware update on a V1 version router.
can you confirm this?

Each hardware version has its own specific software/firmware version to be loaded on the router.
If your router states WNDR3700v5 then you must specifically download the firmware for WNDR3700v5.
As shown below, you must select the exact model number and version of your unit in order to use the correct firmware.http://downloadcenter.netgear.com/
