Can't log in to R6400 after putting it into AP mode
To expand on the title: I'm using a Nighthawk X6 as my primary router, connected to the modem downstairs. Since this is in a lower corner of the house, I decided to add my old R6400 into the mix...
Try (LAN port from X6 to LAN port of R6400)
I tried that just now. Same results - internet works, I can ping the 6400, but navigating to the address in the browser results in a simple "this site can't be reached" error.
a couple questions.
What is the x6 connected to? (gateway/modem)
What ip address is the x6?
what ip address is the r6400?
Sorry for the late reply; been out of town and haven't had time to look at this.
We've got a pretty run of the mill fiber modem handling the optical to copper conversion (prior to that we had cable internet - different modem, exact same problem though).
It's your typical x.x.1.1 address for the X6, and x.x.1.2 for the 6400.
and you've confirmed that is indeed the r6400's IP address in the X6?
