Can't sync Router with Outdoor Satellite

Hi all - 

 

I have an RBR750 and I'm trying to sync an outdoor router which I just got.

 

It won't sync, and just reading around this forum i can already tell I might be going into a rabbit-hole of compatibility and disaapointment! I am having trouble understanding whether this is compatible or not, and i was surprised to see that NetGear offers zero support except this forum - is that correct?

 

Anyways, I am wondering if anyone can help me see the path forward:

 

- am I correct that these two may not be able to function together?

- is it correct that I could use extender mode (which sort of means I could have gone with a cheaper product, really)

- is there no support?

 

How can I further diagnose?

       I'll bite.  What, exactly, is this "an outdoor router"?  What,
    exactly, did you do?  What, exactly, happened when you did it?

       Not a useful problem description.  It does not say what you did.  It
    does not say what happened when you did it.  As usual, showing actual
    actions (commands) with their actual results (error messages, LED
    indicators, ...) can be more helpful than vague descriptions or
    interpretations.

       "these two"?  An RBR750 and "an outdoor router"?  Have you considered
    consulting a psychic hot-line?

      Hi -

       

      Thanks for your 'help', and for the unnecessary smart-ass comment.

       

      This is an RBR750 Router and a RBSY50v2 outdoor sattelite.

       

      I have followed the instructions several times, and reset/restarted both devices several times. Each time, the outdoor sattelite winds up with a magenta led, which the instructions say it failed to sync. The devices are right next to each other.
